Jacob

Jacob is a master thief who lives somewhere outside the village. He rarely shows his face in public. All the better, he figures; the less people who know him, the better.

With a diminutive stature, an exceedingly cynical and sometimes downright hateful attitude, and a quick mind for improvising, Jacob is an ideal thief. He has contacts all over the kingdom, suppliers from far and wide, and a keen eye to see what's going down around the land. He lives far away from any village in the Landis Kingdom to hide his actions easier. It's a shame he chose somewhere out in the middle of the open in the plains, though.

Matthew is good friends with him. Jacob's taught Matt a good chunk of what he knows. They occasionally go out on thief runs for whatever they can find in the bigger cities of the kingdom. As Jacob says, there's no real reason people should live better just because they live in a bigger city.

He hates Alexandria. While Matt's had a bit more patience with Alex's malfunctioning spells throughout the years, Jacob lost his patience with her years ago. Jacob and Alex have a fairly strong hatred for each other, tempered only by Matt stepping in on their fighting and the fact that Jacob lives numerous miles away from the village.
