Carl

Nobody wants to see Carl, for more than one reason. Carl is a page for the Landis Kingdom. He's called upon whenever King Landis has a decree to hand down to the kingdom. Nobody likes these decrees; they usually mean the Royal Army couldn't get a job done and the king's flipped his lid over it.

However, Carl hates his job. With a passion. People can usually hear his grumbling as he heads down the many pathways of Landis to deliver his decrees, complaining about his job, how he never gets any help, how nobody else in the kingdom can do this for a change, how nobody's ever happy to see him... The people of the kingdom, for their part, have grown to ignore his incessent complaints. They can't, however, ignore the decrees he carries with him.
